It took me a long time to post Angela and Carl’s Cold Spring and Beacon, NY wedding. I kept meaning to do it, I would think about it almost daily. This wedding and this couple were (are) stunning. The entire day was smiles, and happy tears, and laughing and constant fun. As I was going through their photos to decide which would become this post I quickly realized why it had taken me so long, the wedding was too awesome. There were too many moments worth a post from this day. As I went through the photos again it was all smiles and happy tears and laughing and fun all over again.
Their day began in Cold Spring, NY where they got ready in separate AirBnb’s. Both were so different and so beautiful! Carl was surrounded by his friends and family and Angela with hers. Both were filled with equally with emotion. As soon as all of the primping and prepping and dressing was over we took a short walk down to the water in Cold Spring for the first look. The tears started there and didn’t end until the end of the day.
We stayed down by the water for some quick, post first look shots then walked through the tunnel back into Cold Spring for a few more shots before heading to the reception site, a personal favorite of mine, the University Settlement Camp in Beacon, NY.
Once at the Settlement Camp we had time for a few more fun photos, I can’t help but share far too many of the tire swing. If you have a bride and a groom and a tire swing, you can’t help but take too many photos.
And of course, a few more photos of the couple, and family and details before kicking off the festivities.
The ceremony itself was all tears, which is clear in all of the photos. Tears and excitement. So exciting that they ran out of the ceremony to “Born to Run” by Bruce Springsteen!
The reception was the perfect end to and endlessly perfect day. It was a party to rival most parties. I can honestly say that this was one of the weddings of the century and I’m so stoked that I was there to capture every moment. Thank you so much Angela and Carl for having me.
